Meet Mrs. Brandt
Hello Third Grade Families,
My name is Camille Brandt and I am incredibly fortunate to be your child’s third grade teacher. This is my fourth year at Timberline and I am so excited to meet you and your family!
I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in French from the University of Illinois in 2011 and completed my Master’s Degree in Reading Education in 2017. I previously taught first grade for two years in Urbana, Illinois followed by second grade for three years in Chicago, Illinois. My husband and I moved to Colorado just over three years ago and are very happy to be here!
I grew up in Rock Island, Illinois, which is on one of my favorite rivers, the Mississippi River. My older brother and my parents still live in Rock Island so I visit as often as I can. When I am not busy lesson planning, I enjoy running, hiking, camping, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. I especially love spending time with my dog, Lily, and my cat, Kit Cat. We are expecting our first child, a baby girl, this December and could not be more excited to meet her!
I anticipate a very busy and enriching year with your child. Teaching children compassion, kindness, and perseverance are of great importance to me. Third grade is a very exciting year and you will be amazed at the growth your third grader makes. In third grade, students will learn to write multi-paragraph pieces, study our country’s regions, learn about energy, rocks and minerals, and skeletal structures, and really dig into measurement, fractions, and multiplication and division. In literacy, students will use literature to learn about individuality, compassion, differences, and more!
Communication is very important to me. Please know that you can contact me with questions or concerns anytime. You can reach me by e-mail or phone. I will also be using Seesaw for immediate questions or reminders. During the school day, I am away from my e-mail and fully engaged with my students in learning activities. Please make sure that if you need to contact me for something urgent during the school day you call the main office. My e-mail is [email protected] and the number to the school is 720-886-3200.
I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
Sincerely,
Camille Brandt
